food from the land ... not the shelf

Questions and Answers

  • Can I try just one box?
Yes. In fact your first box is always a trial box. No more deliveries are made until you inform us.
  • Can I choose which vegetables are in the box or if I don’t like certain vegetables can it be arranged so that they never go into my box?
Unfortunately the contents have to be chosen by the farm and all boxes are packed identically. Otherwise the packing and delivery would take a lot longer resulting in higher labour charges and therefore more expensive boxes. Also because of the longer time involved the vegetables would not be as fresh.
  • Do I have to buy a certain amount of boxes or can I stop at any time?
You are in complete control of your box. If you need to cancel deliveries completely or just cancel occasional boxes simply call 01908–568952 before 5pm on the Wednesday before your next delivery and we will act on your instructions.
  • If I miss the 5pm cancellation deadline do I have to take the box?
It is still worth contacting us to see if we can divert your box to a new customer who did not order their first box in time. If we cannot do this then unfortunately you would have to take it.
  • What if I receive a rotten vegetable?
We operate a simple refund system. Estimate the cost of the vegetable and deduct it from the cost of your next payment. Please inform the driver or leave out a note so we are aware why you have not paid in full. This puts you in control.
  • Do I have to be in when you call?
No. When you order your trial box you must tell us a location on your property where we can leave the box and pick up payment in case you are not in when we call. We have never had boxes go missing or stolen.
  • What do I do with the empty boxes?
On your next delivery please give them back to the driver or leave out for collection. They are reused on the farm.
